Predominantly white, the DC United Away Jersey 2023 features black and pink trim on the sides, sleeves, and collar. The black stripe down each side of the shirt, in line with the World Cup template, contains various club slogans (only on the authentic version). Petals from cherry blossoms along with branches cover about half of the front of the new DC United 2023 away jersey, with some small black details appearing as well.

The cherry blossom trees in Washington D.C. are a famous tourist attraction and symbol of springtime in the city. These trees were gifted to the United States from Japan in 1912 as a symbol of friendship between the two countries.
